What is the Pacific Crest Trail?
It's the longest imaginable hike multiplied by 542. And that is all I have to say about that. OK, OK, the PCT runs roughly 2,660 miles along the spine of the Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain ranges, open to both equestrians and humans (no bikes allowed). Imagine experiencing snow capped peaks, barren desert beds, raging river crossings and the most generous humans you've ever met.
Basically, the PCT is the most beautiful continuous hike across the United States (vertically) from Canada to Mexico. I thought that if I hiked it south-bound (SOBO), it would all be downhill. Heaven knows I needed the easiest route. Oh, if only that were the case!
